For anyone who knows me I've bashed on about Idles for the last couple of years, thrown their videos around the net and putting their music on whatever dukeboxes I can find so kinda forcing it upon the public whether they liked it or not.

The five piece from Bristol have breathed much needed new life into which for me was a stagnant music genre. The punk band (if you want to give it a title) have gone from strength to strength are are currently in the running for best breakthrough act at the forthcoming Brit awards. As someone who worked in the music business for over 11 years gaining a nod from the Brits can be a confirmation of musical dullness and overproduced commercial nonsense, it would appear the Brits have finally paid attention and that real music and lyrics has its place.

I've voted for them and I hope that many others do. If you are in any doubt I've linked a video from a recent performance on Jools Holland, its magnificent and that's that.

Their albums 'Brutalism' and 'Joy As An Act Of Resistance' are individual break through albums within their own right - please do check them out.

Much love to Idles and the AF community!
